Introduction to Shandong Association

The Victoria Shandong Fellowship Association was formed by overseas Qilu people in Australia for the purpose of "establishing the image of Shandong, promoting Qilu culture, uniting overseas compatriots, and achieving win-win cooperation". It was established in February 2024 with the strong support of Shandong compatriots, relevant social departments, and enthusiastic people from all walks of life.

Champions! Shandong Association Badminton Club Wins MBadX A1 Team Championship

On 8 June, the 2026 MBadX Team Championship was held at Melbourne Unique Badminton Centre, bringing together strong teams and players for an exciting day of competition.

Representing the Shandong Association of Victoria, the Association’s Badminton Club delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament and claimed the championship title in A1, the event’s highest division.

This year’s tournament attracted 48 university alumni teams and more than 300 players, making for a highly competitive event.

Throughout the tournament, the Shandong Association team demonstrated strong teamwork, skill and determination, delivering consistent performances across multiple rounds of competition.

The championship reflects not only the strength of the Shandong Association Badminton Club, but also the Association’s ongoing efforts to bring the Shandong community in Victoria together through sports and cultural activities.

The Association has long encouraged its members to stay active, build connections and strengthen friendships through sport. The Badminton Club provides a welcoming and energetic platform for members of the Shandong community in Australia to connect, stay active and enjoy the game together.

Looking ahead, the Shandong Association of Victoria will continue to support a wide range of cultural and sporting activities, bringing the local Shandong community together and strengthening friendships.
